Honestly, I don’t have one... I refuse to drill holes in the front of my cars, I wish NJ would just do away with them.

His communication is second to none, quality of work is second to none and it took 2 days to get here so that pretty much speaks for itself. The install was wicked easy, it literally took me about 20 minutes. All you'l need is a 7mm socket. There are 6 total screws that need to come out, two in the main gauge surround and 4 in the gauge cluster itself. Other than that, everything is snap fit with tension fittings.

If you're kicking the idea around of getting a cluster from Dave, stop kicking and get on the list! You won't regret it. I only really had time to drive a few miles since installing it and I can tell you already that I love the enhanced features of my original small screen cluster. The navigation in the cluster is wicked cool and the other visuals are so much nicer.

As for the "Sport" model mods that Dave made, they are spot on! The needles don't look any different in terms of color, than the factory red needles. He nailed it. The "Sport" label and number font are all dead on, you'd never know that this isn't a factory gauge face.

New cluster right out of the box. The packaging was crazy good!

My factory sport clsuter

Here's the new cluster and the original cluster for comparison. The angle of the light I used makes it look like the new one is less tinted than the original, but it's not. The lenses are identical.

And finally, all installed and powered up.

Looks nice, but I don't think he did any modes to the cluster. I have 2017 Lariat SC Sport Ed and that looks just like my cluster!! I don't know if you know this, but if you hit the "-" button on your shifter the gears will show up in the left-hand side of the cluster in the slim rectangle.

I’m not sure what you mean by “modes.” This cluster is a Lariet cluster with the Sport overlay. I have an XLT Sport SE so my truck wasn’t offered with the 8” instrument cluster like yours. I am aware of the transmission gear display though, thanks. I actually use that button on the shifter more then I ever thought I would. When I’m driving around town I usually lock out gears 8-10.

Hey there...so you put in a bedrug...nice! I had one in my last truck, love it!
So I just picked up a new 2018 Lariat...and planning another bedrug.

Question, did you have to cut out for the led box lighting and switch or is that already done on the new bedrug?

Also, you have the boxlink? is the new bedrug also set up for this?

Thanks!

I did cut the lighting out of mine, but I think they’ve since fixed that issue. My uncle got a bedbug for his platinum and the lights were already cut out I believe. I do not have the box link so I can’t account for that. What I’ve seen people do is mount the box link brackets over the bed rug, but I’m not sure if the back of the bed rug is already marked for the box link bolts or not. I think they do have some markings on the back side for making pilot holes for stuff like that though.

I thought you were talking about the gauges, never mind! BTW I love that bed and what you did with it.

It also finally gave me something to wire my overhead switch panel to; which I’m super happy about LOL!
Im not sure about the light output yet on the bar, it was pouring last night when I tried it out so it’s hard to judge. I’ll update on that after a some adjustments and some night use.
One thing I will say, is Rigid includes a very nice wiring harness with their lights. I had to lengthen a few, but that’s no big deal; the plugs are nice and water tight and the relay wiring is all done for you which saves some tome and effort.
I have some flush mounts for the rear bumper too, I’ll hopefully be able to get them installed soon too.

Three more buttons I need to get stuff to hook up to...
Do you mind posting a picture of your bracket, @PistolWhip ? I am wanting to do something similar on my truck! Thanks!
