i'm no zombie apocalypse prepper, but between mil. / contracting / etc. I have first hand experience as to how important it is, to be proficient with both life taking, and life saving equipment.

I'm back in college at the moment, but as money permits I plan to add...

* Putco gloss black window trim
* Add a layer of limo tint over the rear windows (on top of the factory tint)
* Leveling Kit
* New Wheels and Tires (I'm waiting for the tread to wear out before I consider that step) and I have a pretty "different" route that I'm going to take with the wheels...
* LOPRO folding tonneau cover
* Spray in Bed-liner
* Bed Mat
* Rear wheel well liners
* Knock-off raptor grill
* Full LED / HID Conversion

I don't have a particular order for those mods, they're just off the top of my head...
I completely understand. I've hopped out to assist in a couple of accidents, thankfully nothing major that required a tourniquet. Beats whipping out the belt. I've had CLS, but that was years ago....you don't want me sticking you, might do more harm than good lol

That is a huge factor for me keeping medical gear on my person / in my vehicle...

Fortunately I’ve been able to keep myself plugged into “that community” even after leaving active duty mil... I’m actually in the works of setting up a TCCC course with a buddy of mine here locally.

Small update... I looked at doing the DEEZEE tailgate assist, and the price is right, but after talking to their Customer Service, they're on a 2-3 month backlog right now for 15'-17' kits...

That being said, I stopped by my local stealership, and walked out with the Ford equivalent for 63.00 20 minutes later and it was in! What I DO love about the kit, is the fit and finish, since the gas strut is tucked away behind the tail light.

Gas Strut installed... should have gone ahead and swapped in LED bulbs... oh well!

The final "mod" that I did, was after much trial and error, I managed to find a version of the Ford SYNC software update (Version 3.0), to upload to the truck...For whatever reason, the WIFI update process doesn't happen... it just sits in the "scanning" screen for 30 minutes until I shake my fist and quit... I didn't observe anything drastically different with the update, but at least I'm current...

The 3.0 update has much improved Gracenote album art
Seems to function smoother/quicker.

Fonts changed a little on the GT blue theme I have.

I haven't had time to mess with all the customization aspects of the SYNC system. What is gracenote? If it matters, I'm an iPhone user..?

Gracenote populates the album covers for audio (not sure on other sources, CD, Bluetooth etc)

Well damn... Found something else to go ahead and add to the list of upgrades... I like the puddle lights for the Lariat trucks, but I have neither the time, or money to do the retrofit, so this will suffice as a cheaper / easier alternative!

Free "Modification"... I got tired of the little tray sliding around in my center console, so I added rubber bands to the front and rear lips of the tray... voila! no more sliding around!

^ I did the same with a mini binder clip & took the 'arms' off of it.

That's an interesting solution for sure! While I don't enjoy the overtness of the "tan" color contrast of the rubber band in relation to the tray, I'm sure I can track down a black rubber band to reduce the signature.

ADDITIONAL UPDATE:

Going back to school and living the broke college kid life sucks, so I'm forced to do larger upgrades incrementally... Case in point, Window Tint... I just got my truck back from the local Tint Shop to add 5% Ceramic tint over the existing factory tint on the rear door windows. I'll have to go back for the rear glass and sliding window, at a later date.
