2017 F150 Screw 4" lift, fox shocks, RC grille, raptor wheel and more
Hey all,
Here is my 2017 f150 I've been wrenching on for 3 months now. It's a special edition xlt.
mods so far
305/55r20 Cooper AT
Black Widow SCA wheels
SCA caliper covers
Ford Performance sill plates
Ford Raptor steering wheel
Retro fit upfitter switches OEM Raptor ones via guide on this site
Fox Coilovers
Fox rear shocks (my BDS Fox rear shocks came in as I was writing this. I plan on putting them side by side to find out for sure that there is a size difference as advertised)
Rough Country 4" lift (installed today, I wasn't expecting my rear shocks to come in or I would have waited to finish up)
Rough Country front grille, LED bar wired to upfitters
Rough Country tonneau cover
Borla dual black tip exhaust
Soft open OEM tailgate
Painted Rear ford emblem
mods to come
1.5" pocket style fender flares
anzo headlights
aftermarket bumper front/rear
aftermarket hood I like the RK one haven't decided
more led lights.. cubes
wire up the paddle shifters to function (plan for next weekend)
a big *** drop hitch receiver (for aesthetics only... Lauren doesn't tow ****)
I have a sct tuner, thinking about an economy tune for fuel economy
tow mirrors
open to other suggestions! I had a 2015 blue supercab, but the only thing I did to that was the roush wheels and tires and paramount raptor grille. Upgraded to the crew because of the crazy discounts and the 3rd kid on the way so the extra space in the cab and 4 full doors will make 3 car seats much more manageable.
better pics to come... the dark ones I just took tonight since I finished the lift. The wooded pics was prelift.

Here are side by side shots of the 3 sets of rear shocks. The ones installed and dirty were the standard fox 2.0. The others are the 2.0 for 4" lift and the all silver are the Rough Country ones. I'm pretty sure based on the size of the RC ones that they send you the same size no matter which kit you get because of the 6" rears are bigger than these I'd be shocked.
Side question.. do rear shocks "settle"? I immediately noticed a ride difference when I did my test drive and got out and measured and there is now a 3/4" rake in the rear where before the truck was completely level. Rough Country stated that with their rear block and shocks that the truck will have no rake what so ever which now I'm questioning if true or not.

Some new pieces to be installed this weekend to early next week...
- anzo headlights(I promised I wouldn't buy them again, had them on my 2015... but... couldn't resist.)
- 2018 taillight LED retrofit
- forscan module to make parking lights DRL.. my hope is that this will enable the taillights to also be on at all times.
