Leds in the low beams only. This was to be temporary but I really, REALLY like these Lil Anzos. Lol. The LEDS are very nice for the Anzos.... if I knew I would like them this much I would have perhaps gone HID in hi and low beams. As it stands I have anothe set of LEDS that I may install in the hi beas but since I don't drive alot, especially at night, I may not and just sell them.

BGG...What was the total cost for the Anzo Mod you've done?

Before I reread yer thread, is all the info ($teps & Part$) in this thread?

with both pair of LED upgrades (though only using 1 set) total I spent on upgrading to these switchbacks is around $600-$650. I just didn't expect to like these as much as I loved the oem led headlights, but I do. Cheeky huh?

cost is relatively low because I got a great deal on the gear from AutoAnything. They are awesome!
In order to clean the wiring up, I bought all my own connectors and extensions because it seemed like a money grab from other places selling kits with stuff I didn't need with a final look like most others, so I did my own thing. Saved money and I think cleaned up the look of the wiring.

I'm not 100% sold on the LED.

My lowbeam hotspot is way too low and not up near the cutoff like HID. I MAY, actually change the projector to the new Morimoto LED once it's out.

The led in the high is pretty worthless IMO.

like I said, I don't do a lot of driving, but this set up is superior to the stop halogens, imho. While I agree with you, I like what I have. It's easy enough to switch out later to if ever I decide to, but unless your just a lighting purest, these led are just fine. I'm not pushing them on anyone. Just a few more shares from my build.

Oh I know.

Coming from a Jeep I had 7" Trucklite headlamps and they were AMAZING! I drive a lot in the dark and it's all country roads. Not sure if you saw but a Deer ran into the side of my truck Friday

Lighting by me is important - no street lighting.

Is it better than stock? Yes.
Is worth the update? Yes.
Worth the money? Yes.
Easier than HID? Yes.

It's all subjective to what everyone's taste is really.

led are not easier than doing hids...the installation is about the same...the cost, at least my cost, are about the same. Bothe require extenal drivers/ballast that must be considered during installation...both require the same level of install detail....it is just imo that hids would perform better in these projection housings than the leds. Led lighting has its limitations, cut off being one of them, and hids have theirs...running far hotter shortens life span of the bulb. To each his own. Sorry about your truck, that sucks. (But don't add 5 pages talking about Bambi, please...lol, PM me)

Sealed up with black RTV

LED low beam driver mount

Comparison

Switch back turn signal LED bulb perfectly matches the projectors in the Anzos, both in color and shape/design/looks

Before splice to install LED outline switchback pigtail, driver side

After LED pigtail splice for outline switchback

Passenger side switchback outline LED pigtail
Very very nice!!! Coming out nicely!!! Keep up the good work!!

Default ***** Who needs *****

...... when ipad! lol Havent been posting much but still very much so working on my build. Will be giving up my very special to me, knurled ***** of my 502a FCIM bezel, however it is in favor of a mini iPad4. Will be able to monitor all engine parameter, wife can play games, watch movies...and a few other planned things. The ipad in the pic is not the one that will be installed..its only being used so I could share how it will look in the dash. After I am finished modifying this bezel with an ambient light on the bottom, flocking (or neoprene where the iPad will sit) and paint, I will post more pics and info.
