Default PnP TB and TB Spacer Installed

Small update...the beginning of installing all of the power mods taking up space in the garage.

Vmaxx PnP 73mm TB and 2 port TB spacer. 1 is used for the Raxiom vent boost gauge. TB isnt a power adder, but you can tell that the throttle in is def snappier now. The spacer is primarily for the boost/vac ports. 2nd one TBA later this year.

PnP'd TB on the right next to the spacer

Fit and finish were excellent on the TB and the spacer

When I spoke to Stage3 about a similar setup, they told me they don't recommend using the spacer with the larger TB. The spacers are designed for the factory throttle body and are the stock diameter, so the spacer is restricting airflow after TB.

Maybe this issue is brand specific?

Its brand specific perhaps because its not the issue with this spacer. It is the same sized opening as my PnP'd TB. Stage3 is ok, but information from them probably pertains to what they sell on their website. I DO agree with them however, and its easy to determine if this is the case. Simply hold the TB and spacer up together as they would be installed....if the spacer is smaller inner diameter than your TB you will have a restriction. At that time I would take BOTH to a machine shop and have the spacer ported out to match the TB. Problem solved.
