Not hating, but how much did you save on buying an XLT vs a Lariat? I can appreciate the effort but that can't be cheap

To be truthful bro I'm retired USMC. .... my wife is a Dr.....savings isn't what this is about. We could have bought a Limited but where is the fun in that. I enjoy building things over buying them. Money is always a consideration.... at some level, but here, with this, it honestly wasnt. My truck is paid for, just broke 4.7k miles after a year of owning it, and I couldn't be happier with the direction. To each his own....I considered a Lariat after I brought my XLT home, them I reminded myself the person I am. I established a budget and wrote out a detailed goal. Lariat is nice but I prefer what I'm building. Anyway, thanks for stopping in.... all comments are welcome, lol I've been to battle and back. The skin on my neck/back is "leather"!

Oh, sorry AricsFX, I didnt answer your question, lol, oops.
I paid $32,600 for my truck.

Pic of overhead gun rack for the AR10 and AR15.....

Hard to get the whole thing in the pic, but its def a double rifle rack.

I wont bore anyone with these details, but this is about the time I discovered FORScan and Livnitup! lol Many MANY MANY MANY FORScan changes....then I started to learn and use IDS, and it is at this point I ventured out to add the intrusion sensor from the tech pkg.

My factory overhead console

My new overhead console with intrusion sensor

Comparison of both

Harness that I made for the new console

The finished product

Glad you decided to start a build page so that others can find everything in one place. Look forward to seeing it completed.
