Hey buddy great lookin truck, I was wondering if you know if a 2017 raptor grill fits a 2017 lariat? I bought the grill cut the tabs on the sides, every thing bolts up good except the light plastics have to be smashed into the clips and the hood won't close, I'm about 1/2"-3/4" from making the hood ****. Did you have similar problems on your 2016?

Please help me my friend
Hello all,
I recently picked up a gorgeous white 2016 F150 Special Edition package FX4 SuperCrew. I loved the Atlas concept when I first saw it at the Detroit auto show several years ago, so I was finally excited to get into one of these things. I was coming from a Land Rover so creature comforts were important to me. On a white truck, I really liked the dark SE package wheels over the chrome PVDs so the decision narrowed it down to the SE XLT 302A or Lariat. This forum has helped me to make a good decision, I think..
Well, on to some pix.
some pix around town
Moved to Michigan from Maine for work reasons few years ago and it does have its perks. 4x4 was a must for me. Ended up with a FX4. Living in michigan, I got to see a bunch of camo'ed cars and prototype cars on the road - especially by the proving grounds and by Dearborn. Additionally, I found a nice gem from a local michigan seller who listed an OEM Raptor grill.
I have examined the Paramount and GalaxyMoto grills thoroughly and it is definitely different than the OEM 2017 Raptor grills. First, the # of honeycombs under each letter from the real Raptor. Second, the Letters and the outer trim and the inner honeycomb grill has its own trim on the real raptor. Paramount and Galaxymoto does not. I decided to give this "OEM Grill a try."
I believe it may be from one of the earlier Prototype 2017 Raptors that has been caught in the wild by TruckTrend/Autoblog.
As other members on this forum have mentioned the OEM Raptor grill has different mounting points and you must alter it to fit the 2015-2016 F150s. I figured I am handy enough to give this a try. Required tools - Dremel, sandpaper, beers and paint.
Painted the grill to match my SE Wheels. I am liking how it turned out.
Until someone tells me otherwise, I think I may be one of the first retrofitting the OEM Raptor grills on. It wasn't too bad. I will eventually fabricate something to complete the lower trim portion of the grill to match. Ill need a part number from Ford. I think it'll be a direct fit. However the bezel around the headlight will not fit due to the sheer width.
I am pleased w the look so far. Fun first mod. Did the 14" antennae too. Coming from a Rover w HIDs, i must admit the light output is absolutely horrible on these F150s. My next on my "to-do" list will be Anzo 11357s and some LEDs.
Let me know what y'all think!

2016 FORD F150 4X4 LARIAT ( Father )
2016 FORD F150 4X2 XLT (Mine)
I BOUGHT 2 GRILLE OEM FORD PART # HL3Z-8200-BA, BECAUSE I LIKE THEM MORE THAN THE ONES IN EBAY.
THE PROBLEM IS THAT I WANTED TO INSTALL THE OEM FORD GRILLE HL3Z-8200-BA IN MY FORD F150 4X2 XLT, AND I HAD TO CUT PART OF IT FROM THE SIDES AND IT FIT THEN, BUT WHEN I TRIED TO CLOSE THE HOOD IT WAS NOT POSSIBLE. I GUEES IT IS TO TALL, I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW OF YOU HAD TO CUT PART OF IT LIKE I DID?
I WAIT YOU REPLY MY FRIEND.
THANKS

is it just the Paramount grille's that work when adding the F / R letters or will this also work with the American Muscle grille from Barricade? The Barricade grille does have the removable symbols so you can ad the F / R but I assume it all depends on how the screw holes line up for the grille and the letters?
