Default 2016 rcsb build - err rebuild

Here is some info on my 2016 rcsb i purchased from copart in TN. I've had crew cabs for the past 10+ years and always wanted a regular cab just for the looks and size but i was too nervous to drop the $$$ on an "impractical" truck. the 2015+ are so good looking in a rcsb i started looking for a white short bed 4x4 with either the 5.0 or the eco for quite some time and they are hard to find without paying 25k + for them. That price was too close to a crew cab for my liking so i decided to get a builder.

I haven't been taking the best pictures of the progress but here are a few.

From the co part auction:

how it showed up in Idaho:

As it sits this morning:

The damage wasn't too bad. On the drivers side it was both control arms, spindle, axle, tie rod, brake/abs line. then fender, door, hood, light and mirror.

Waiting on the post man to drop off lights and mirrors from boostedgreygoose (thank you) to get painted hopefully this week then should be driving it next week.

idaho is pretty easy going on most of that stuff. it needs to be taken to the DMV for inspection so i'll know for sure next week when i can drive it down there.

Nice job saving her! My dad rebuilds salvage vehicles for a living. I havent bought anything from him lately because I am a little better off than 10 years ago. But it sure makes for some affordable vehicles when my kids needed something!

My dad built cars on the side when I was a kid. It was fun because my mom drove a different car every few months.

A bit of progress. Got the lights and mirrors from boostedgreygoose
