Have you thought about new shock yet? I was looking at Bilstein 5100's set at the third or fourth setting with Eibach springs. I think with the bumper it would cause too much sag up front on the second setting.

Thanks for pointing this my way. The rear block and AAL question really had me stumped.

I have front Bilstein 5100s sitting in my office. The rears I installed last year, I think... it's documented somewhere in this thread. I'm looking for a set of stock struts for the spring seats/hardware, and probably some HDPP springs. I'll get those struts loaded and install them whenever I find the time.

Your speedometer and odometer are probably calibrated differently than his, and/or he's geared appropriately for his tire diameter.

Where do you average 12.5 mpg? Not on the highway I hope.

There are many variables that will either help or hinder your MPG. One is stop-and-go driving with 100 lbs of wheel-and-tire on each corner, rather than the stock-ish 60 lbs...the next is axle gearing, and the next would be speedo correction, and not to the advertised tire diameter but instead the loaded radius of your rear tires.

It's about 70/30, 70 stop and go and 30 highway. I'm gonna be taking a 2k mile trip here soon so we'll see how all highway gets. I would regear front and rear diffs but it's so damn expensive.

I received my MOLLE seatback panels from Sunrise Tactical Gear and installed them on Wednesday. I have some more stuff to add over time. Even with the bigger pouches installed, there's lots of legroom back there. This allowed me to relocate some things that were in my console or under my seat and make them more accessible.

I've got to do something with that trash bag.

I got my truck back today from Elder Ford. There's a story there I may or may not go into at some point... but at any rate, I now have Bilstein 5100 struts set to 1.25" and HDPP springs installed up front with the spacers. The highway and street ride is slightly better.

Mods.......................Front.....Rear......Rake
Stock......................37.125....39.75.....2.625
+ 2" spacer, Decked........38.75.... 39.0625...0.3125
+ wheels & tires...........40.1875...40.25.....0.0625
+ bumper & cargo...........39.75.....39.5625..-0.1875
+ AAL, - stock block.......39.75.....39.875....0.125
+1" block..................39.625....41.031....1.406
+Bilsteins & HDPP springs..40.54.....40.75.....0.22

If I get some settling up front, I'm fine with that.

I also got a tire rotation and alignment done during this visit.

Just scrolled my way through your entire thread, and i must say you've done a great job building your truck! Those seat-back covers look really good!

Last night, I realized that Elder Ford of Tampa didn't follow my instructions and left the spacers on top of the struts, as well as adjusted the snap rings down from the 2.1" position where I left them. I've found that shop to be consistently incompetent. The CV angles aren't bad because they put the snap rings somewhere in the middle... but the whole point of installing these struts was to get rid of the spacers. It looks like I'll have another round of suspension changes and an alignment to look forward to in the near future.

I had a local Midas shop weld in a Magnaflow 12249 muffler in place of the stock one, and I asked them to slash cut the pipe just after the bend going to the OEM chrome tip. It's got a very low rumble at idle, a satisfying tone under acceleration, and sounds practically stock while cruising. The original clamp-on chrome tip should be up in the FS forum shortly.
