Picked up this hybrid for a commuter. My truck will be designated more for hunting/camping/trips to the mountain.

Just rolled over 97,000 miles. Went ahead and did the transmission service. The oil was a little dark and smelly. The OEM magnet in the pan was covered in a normal amount of metal shavings. I’d been collecting parts for a while, so it was nice to finally schedule with my mechanic buddy and get it all done.

Services performed:
Drain and refilled oil
Filter replaced
Lead frame replaced
Transmission pan with drain plug installed
Top mount dip stick and fill tube installed

Everything went smoothly, it took 7 quarts. I plan to drain and refill again in about 10,000 miles.
