Made a little progress this morning with the sub set up. This is the slightly customized box I ordered from rodneysboxes on eBay. It's technicall for an 09-14 model but fits just fine. Due to the seat lift kit I installed I could have him make it an inch deeper (sub is only 3.75" but has a 10-inch wide magnet) and I had him add 1" to the feet to give more clearance from the face of the woofer to the floor.

I also fixed the completely **** wiring job that the shell installers did. I noticed the installer wasn't the brightest crayon in the box and had to correct him on the alignment of the shell etc. I decided to let him work after that and didn't micro manage, but this morning I decided to open up the light assembly and see what connection he used for the wiring.... how about none! Wires were stripped and twisted, then wrapped in electrical tape. What a muppet. So I soldered them in place and ran the wires for the electric lock on the shell which was very easy and connection was made in the tailgate at the existing lock harness.

Midrange placement.
I'm really looking for some ideas on the pillars, has anyone done a 3" or larger midrange in these pillars? I've been looking on all the sites I know of and so far really haven't seen anything. I can tell wrapping is going to need stitching due to the handle, unless I shave the grab handles off. If anyone out there is hiding some nice pillar or dash pod work, let me know.
