thank You! Did a little research on the product and it seems to be something that should hold up for this very purpose. It's concerning to me that 3 paint shops all concurred that this wasn't feasible when a cheap and easily available 3M product should do the trick just fine.

Well it’s $65 a tube so not too cheap. And you need a special gun to push the two parts out.

And you have to strip the panel too. Otherwise when you primer it, it might lift.
