I think a more durable spray in liner would be better. I've scratched up the drop-ins like crazy.
I like the oem decals, but with black instead of blue if you want something different. Red isn't my fav either...

yeah I was thinking of maybe black backing (instead of blue) with white lettering, I wanted to eliminate the random little bits of chrome on the truck. As for the liner, a drop in would probably be ok for a while but will get scratched up like you said. I've been looking at spray ins, don't need heavy duty though...
