2013 XLT Build
Greetings to all. I got my new to me 2013 XLT SCrew 4X4 in December of 2014. I saw it as it was being taken through the Ford dealers Certified Pre-owned process and got a great deal. It had 17,000 miles and the warranty turned out better than buying a 2014.

In mid January I noticed an increase in road noise and a rougher ride. I inspected the tires and found chunks of the treads coming off all 4 tires. The service department showed me how awesome they would be in our future dealings that day. Service tech inspected the tires and apologized to me saying that the tires would all be replaced at no charge. Getting the new tires from the dealership has delayed my intent to level and increase the tire size, for now.

I found this forum and saw all the upgrades you all were doing to your trucks and had to join in on the madness. First few things I did were for cosmetics/ function...
*Tinted the front windows and brow to match factory tint.
*Installed a soft tri-fold bed cover.
*Installed 3D floor mats front and rear, similar to the Weather Tech's.

*New gauge cluster
*Factory Remote Start
My dash had the plain older looking analog cluster and I really liked the look of the newer clusters. Saw people on here upgrading theirs and so began my search for one. I found one with almost the exact mileage as my truck (it was off by 50 miles) and I snatched it up. I also decided the factory remote start kit would be nice to have too. I installed the factory remote starter kit and the new cluster. This is when I fell in love with my service department. I had the instructions for activating the remote start with me and pages printed from the forum describing the steps to set the cluster set up. Went into the back with the service tech, he cleared the trailer fault code and activated the remote start feature. It only took him about 15 minutes but I was still expecting the 1hr shop charge. Service writer said "no charge, have a great day!" Awesome!
I recently replaced the short wire on the remote start module with the extension wire (Module) that relocates it from behind the glove box to the headliner giving you better reception distance. This was well worth the $40 buck, works great now ....

This post brings my truck up to date:
Found a killer deal on a set of Raptor takeoffs on CL for $200. I got my tires and TPMS sensors mounted on my new Raptor wheels for under $100 and I sold my XLT wheels for $100. Sweet!
