Hey Gunnar, Can you give me some tips on the plasti dip? I found some at a local store, and looked up a few videos on the web then tried it out on the tailgate oval first. It covered it just fine, and peeling it off of the paint around the oval was no big deal. But when I tried to remove it from the "Ford" lettering, it ended up peeling from the oval as well. Do you have any tips on how to get it off of the lettering but keeping it on the blue part of the oval? Thanks.

Yeah you would have to black the whole thing out. On the 13s the ford lettering is raised above the oval.

I could buy a 2013 emblem for the tailgate. They look to be the same size. I'll let you know if it works.

I would try moody blue overlays before doing that, he can make them any color you want, Or you could just buy custom painted ones off of ebay

I have never done the overlays before. Do you know the aprox cost of them? I work for a Ford dealer, so I get a pretty good discount on the OEM parts. A new emblem would cost about $30-$50.

The black (wheels and tint) set against the silver is a striking look. Great transformation! (I also agree it looks better without the stickers on the rear of the bed. FWIW.)
