Default 2013 - RCSB - 5.0 - Whipple - 3/5 Drop

Build thread for the 2013 sterling gray 5.0 RCSB I just picked up.
70,000 miles, clean and rust free. $14k out the door. Thought it was a good deal

So far I've put some projector head lights and LED tail lights on and the Ford Racing Borla Tremor side exhaust cat back.
Love the cat back. Works great on the 5.0 - bolted right up. Nice mean growl, no freeway drone, and screams at WOT.

Goal: 600rwhp quasi Lightning clone

The build....
Interior:
Center console swap - DONE
Raptor steering wheel - DONE
Leatherseats - Pending
Stereo upgrade - DONE

Suspenion
DJM 3/5 drop with stock front struts / rear Belltech Nitro 2 shocks - DONE
Calvert traction bars - DONE
KMC Slide 22 X 9.5 wheels with 305/45R22 Nitto 420S tires - DONE

Engine:
Ford Racing Whipple 2.9L Crusher inlet rear feed kit - took this off my 2011 GT years back and had it sitting in storage waiting for next project to put it on. It'll take a little modifying to work, but nothing major
GT intake cam / Boss exhaust cam / Boss valve springs - Pending
Billet oil pump gear / billet timing chain gear - Pending
Rear cylinder head cross flow cooling mod - Pending
Timing chain refurb kit with Boss chain tensioners - Pending
ATI balancer - Pending
ARP hardware all around - Pending

Exhaust
Stainless works 1 7/8 LT's - Pending
Ford Racing Tremor side exhaust cat back - DONE

Raptor steering wheel is in.
Got it from Tasca's - swapped original buttons over and everything works fine. No need to swap the wire harness
Ford Part #: BL3Z-3600-CB

DJM lowering kit and CalTrac traction bars are on the way.

Worth every penny compared to the crappy stock rubber steering wheel that was already disintegrating in my hand

Thanks everyone !

DJM drop kit and CalTrac traction bars are here. Hope to get the truck into the shop next week for install. Will probably replace inner and out tie rods and upper control arms at same time to recondition most of the front end wear points
Husky rear wheel well liners are also here. Look pretty simple to install. Cant believe Ford didnt put something like these in there from the factory.

Ordered lug nuts that are about 1/4" too long so the center caps wouldn't fit. Order some new shorter lug nuts tomorrow.
KMC Slide 22 X 9.5 - +38 offset - nice and flush with 305/45R22 Nitto 420S tires

Also started digging the S/C kit out of storage. It's scattered in a half dozen different boxes buried under a mountain of other crap - ugh...

Rear wheel well liners and center caps now on
Took off the silly mud flaps too. Will remove the chrome side steps with the lowering kit install.

Decided to refurb the suspension and brakes at the same time as the drop kit install so everything is ready for another 70k miles of worry free driving. Little bit of a delay as I wait for parts to come so can do it all at once.

On order from Rock Auto (best prices I could find - love how their website is laid out - super easy to find parts)
New front wheel hub/bearings (Motorcraft)
New inner and outer tie rods with boots (Motorcraft)
New front upper control arms (Motorcraft)
New sway bar end links (Motorcraft)
Belltech Nitro 2 Drop rear shocks
Power Stop EZ23 Sport front and rear brake kit:
https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=7283872&cc=3000982&jsn=16
Includes:
Red powder coated stock front and rear brake calipers
New stock size zinc plated drilled and slotted front and rear rotors
Ceramic brake pads

One giant pile of parts ready to install. Should bring suspension and braking up to better than new.
Dropping the truck off at the suspension shop next Tuesday. Quoted $1k for all the work and fresh alignment. Not too bad considering the amount of work involved
