well, around August 17th, i drove down to San Diego, and left it with McNeil Racing fabrication. The plan is to build a full cage and suspension. The bummer is, they didn't start on it for 6 weeks, which meant i could have had the use of my baby for the balance of the summer, but fortunately my friend George let me use his raptor as a loaner for those 6 weeks. what a bro. too kind.. but I DID tint his windows for him as a thank you. anyway, i took the train home from san diego to santa monica, feeling empty. truckless.

Now to call WOG,
or Westside Offroad Group. A company that specializes in outfitting Raptors and making them customized amazing trucks. This was a departure for them, as I wasn't a raptor guy calling. raptor guys have money. they hand over the keys and say, "do whatever it takes man, make it legit, send me the bill". I on the other hand, am the tool. I have no money, and am asking these guys to make my 2wd EcoBoost into a raptor. One thing I havent mentioned so far is that they were extremely instrumental in facilitating more HP to the engine as well. More on that later....

I am doing the exact same thing, sterling grey ecoboost to Raptor. The only difference is I have 6 foot bed.

On day 1 of my visits to the shop, i realized that they only work on the truck when they know youre coming to visit. it was at that point i began traveling to Baja a couple times a week. progress suddenly improved dramatically. amazing how that works
