Best thing you can do for that intercooler is maybe make some ducting for it. The FR one flows way better than OEM....or maybe a pair of electric fans on the FR one to draw more air through?
the WMI you're doing really drops the BATs (boost air temps), and if you just use water with an injection right after the intercooler (a small nozzle) it'll do evaporative cooling for the boost air charge (and distilled water is WAY cheaper than methanol).
By the way, are you running 100% methanol? I would recommend it, or diluting with distilled water. the 'boost juice' is overpriced and 100% methanol is just...........soooo......awesome
Amazing build, awesome!

hey thanks for the insight! not sure what VMI stands for but contextually I'm with you. I'm using water/meth at 50/50 mix w/ nozzles on the inlet tube just before the TB. when I had it IN the TB spacer (now removed for clearance of the Full-Race aluminum radiator) the pump solenoid had a ground fault issue and went haywire filling the engine with water. at least now if it malfunctions, no water will get into the cylinders if my foot is off the throttle. and I found that ordering a 5 gal methanol bucket and mixing it with my own distilled water in 1 gal jugs is the most cost effective. Shoot- that reminds me.. i havent posted pics of my boost juice tank. i used a 8 gal poly tube-tank under my rear oil coolers and it fills with a trans funnel at the back window area. It's pretty slick. out of the sun, and stores enough juice to go to mexico for a week and not sweat it.
WMI=Water/methanol injection.
on another turbo car I used it as a supplemental fuel source because of the limits of the direct injection it had. So the byproduct of using the methanol was highly decreased boost air temps. To the tune of 40* reductions sometimes. It was just fantastic.
I don't know the limits of the direct injection on the gen1 3.5EB, but if you start pushing that limit, individual-runner meth injection via very small nozzles could be an option for you, for high-boost situations. Sounds like, tune-wise, you're in very good hands though.
Thanks for documenting/photographing everything so well, by the way.

Sorry if you have already answered this or stated it previously, what was your setup (sizes & brands) for this (left and right):
Once my wife get back stateside and stationed somewhere where I can get my truck worked on, I'd like to begin working on my truck, but trying to do it on this island has been a little frustrating.
You've got an awesome build going! Love the whole thing besides the roll cage in a daily driver, but you're going for a *****-out raptor and I think it's safe to say you've accomplished same.

Wow, this was one hell of a read. Thanks for coming back after a bit of a hiatus and update us. Please keep the thread alive and if you have any, post up some videos of it in action! Have you done anything else to the front suspension or are you still running the raptor take offs?
