Recon only shows them for the Super Duty series.......nothing for the F150. Same part though right?

They're the same part. I put them on my truck. Everything fits and installs the exact same.

I see that Recon makes two varieties......

Did you go with the white LED or the amber?

Any pictures of them installed?

I also see that there are knock off smoked lenses.........Recons are like $100-$120 and the no-name smoked lenses are $30-$40

First page of my build thread has a picture of them installed but I added in a few more pictures.

I got the amber ones because I don't think white blinkers are legal and I don't need any reasons to get pulled over.

Are they just lenses for $40 or they the housing and bulbs? You can get the recons for less than 90 if you look around. Not a lot cheaper but worth it.

KOZ45,

I really have enjoyed following your build, it has many subtle touches that I appreciate.

What Raptor grille lights did you install? Would you recommend them? And how well to they match the running light DRLs?

They are lenses, LED bulbs and wiring for $40

Just not sure if I want the white LED or the amber LED

Its not being used for commercial purposes and the truck is not under commercial DOT equipment laws, so the color will not matter

Thanks for the kind words

I installed the Raptor lights from F150Lifts (maybe?), I believe

Install was cake and went smooth, the color matches up perfectly

So one dealer said they cannot find what is causing the constant front end clunking noise.........they can duplicate, but cannot find anything

I am going to check the front diff mounting bolts myself, which from what I have read, can and do come loose

Oh yeah, and my factory remote start stopped working............38,000 miles

My old 2004 diesel Dodge Ram Quad Cab 3500 4x4 didn't have any issues like this truck has, even when I sold it at 125,000 miles

Not a fan about fashion over function, I usually try to prioritize function over fashion
However, I wanted to get rid of the amber side marker lenses on the tow mirrors and cannot see spending $100 on the smoked LED lenses from Recon (even though I have Recon smoked LED tail lights.....only $75 shipped used)
I bought these smoked LED mirror lenses for $29.98 shipped..........look decent.
I will get them installed this weekend and see how they fit and how they look

Very simple and very quick little mod

Tilt the mirror glass in, and slip a thin flat head screwdriver in to pull back on the clip, which holds the mirror lens in place

Remove stock lens, remove the two sockets and remove the two bulbs

I used some dielectric grease and black electrical tape when connecting them back

Those look really good. Where'd you get them from?
