Last year towards the end of winter I had my driver side heated seat quit on me. It was mildly annoying, but since it was already March I figured I would worry about it when it was warmer in June, and swap it then.
Well, here we are now entering winter, and I'm scrambling to change this thing out before it gets even further below freezing than it already is.
This is a pretty well documented issue on these trucks, and like most, my lower seat heater shorted itself, killing the heat for the entire seat, but allowing the button on the dash to still operate. A quick google search with site:www.f150forum.com in the search bar reveals several very helpful threads, and a link to a youtube video by The Seat Shop that details how exactly you can remove and take apart a leather 09-14 seat.
Overall it was a lot simpler than I initially thought, and if it weren't for me being distracted so easily I would have had the thing fixed and back in the truck in under 2 hours. As always when working with electronics and plastic interior pieces, take your time, and don't be overly aggressive.
Here are some photos of the damage and install:

So I was inspired by the Raptor guys to throw some chase lights on the truck. I tinted some cheap amazon lights with amber tint, and mounted them on the existing stake pocket covers so I could avoid drilling through my bed, as the SDHQ mounts require you to do.
I figured they would offer more visibility on some higher speed trail runs, but more importantly provide visibility during the frequent blizzards we see here in CT.
They sure paid off today.

That's a good idea, I'd just be worried about a cover popping off and loosing/damaging something. Myself I would have stuck them on a 8-10" pole that bolts to the hole in the stake pocket

I yanked on them a ton and they didn't come loose, those plastic covers are in there good. I already modeled aluminum stake pocket mounts that were ready to be cut if these failed, but other than a little bit of movement, these can support a good amount of weight, as long as you drill towards one end of the cover.

Like most of the northeast, we had a huge snow storm, so I went out and had some fun in between shifts at work.

The blue definitely took some getting used to, but like your race red it really grows on you and stands out in a crowd.
