I was bored on Sunday and decided I wanted to get slightly crafty and make something to hold a flag to fly on the 4th like all the other bros with trucks in town. I know it's not exactly kosher with the flag code but I feel like if you're respectful when handling or doing anything with it then you're a ok.
Anyway, I saw some guys running them off of hitch mounts, but you needed a longer pole to get the flag up in the air, and I didn't want to have to buy the pre made holder.
I was looking at suggestions online when I saw that someone had framed off the bed and put a holder in the middle, and that gave me the idea to use the bed. I realized there was an easier way to do this using the slot in our bed for 2x4s/bed dividers.
I got right to work half *** measuring everything and slapped this bad boy together.
Not bad for an afternoon at the home despot piecing everything together.
For this project I used: 1 2x8, 2' of 1.25" PVC pipe, 5' of 1" PVC pipe, 3 1.25" U-Bolts, a bunch of screws and a cheap American made nylon American flag.
Total invested was $12, but being "that guy" flying a fat 3'x5' American flag everywhere I went while blasting "Born in the USA" all day was priceless.

Since I couldn't find much info on bass **** locations on here while researching them for my sub install, I figured I would share where I mounted mine. It fits real well next to the usb/aux inputs on the sync panel. Looks factory.

Also not sure if I shared my sub install, but I had a JL Audio truck PowerWedge 10-TW3 installed under the middle rear seat, with a JL audio XD300 1v2 amp powering it installed under the driver side rear seat. The sub only sticks out about an inch and a half from the smaller supercab rear seats, and the amp bolts almost directly into the jack stand kit bolt holes. I was really impressed with the range of the system; it sounds exceptionally clean and hits hard throughout the whole range. Although looking back now I should've went with the 600w amp just to have a little more room to play without clipping slightly.

Nice ride! I see you guys got some snow in CT, today. I'm over In Westerly, RI... We got rain lol. I'm looking to put some fox 2.0s on my truck and level it out with some 20s and 33s possibly 35s if i can get the offset to look right.

Thats exactly what I want to do with my next truck. I hope to get into a crew cab '13 FX4 appearance package in a couple years when the price drops a good amount. The lift looks real cool and all but honestly it isn't worth the hassle. Fox 2.0s and some nice 20s really make a truck look clean with less hassle.

Nope, and I've put them through storms worse than that. I think it might've been a sealing issue on my end, I had used tape and some clever positioning before to keep water out but after it leaked I took it all apart and redid it with silicone, no problems since!

Lots of progress made on the truck, but I haven't updated this thread in a while. First, here is the sub and amp setup.
Also, please excuse the terribly messy interior. I'm at school and between it being winter and ME classes I don't have much time to keep everything clean.
