Yeah, I have an 08 Chrome Package too.. White.. I painted Mirror Caps white, ford emblems white (subject to change.. Going to be all black with White "Ford" next week), and played around with my grille and surround too. Just didn't like the grille so I left it chrome.. I get quite a few compliments on it and there's only 1 other person with it.. It's a truck identical to yours, black chrome package and man that grille stands out!! Passed him today, looks super sharp.. I like what you've done though, looks good!!!

I plan on eventually looking for some tinted LED tails and 3rd brake light. Also been pondering the idea of a new head unit like a Pioneer.

The only thing with leaving them right off is I live in the country and drive down gravel quite a bit.

And destroy your paint? Yeah... I'd leave them on. These trucks should come stock with mudflaps.

$300 for mudflaps??? That's insane, they are pieces of plastic not engine components. I got my plastic flaps for $40 with ford logo's.

To the OP take a look at rear tire well covers to protect the paint from chips!

Even driving on normal roads will scratch up your paint because of all the small rocks and crap scatted on them. Not to mention the salt in the winter.

I drive 50/60 on a gravel roads. I bought a truck for this, not to baby it everywhere I go.
