The sound is coming from what seems like rear undercarraige of truck. The noise takes place when im in 4th or 5th gear on highway. Sounds like a ticking, kinda like the same sound when you go into a higher gear before you should, like that straining sound. I looked at the drive shaft for anything abnormal, all i did notice is that shaft has about a half inch play in it while out of gear, this may very well be normal, not sure. Wondering if anyone can help me figure this out. I know im not giving much to work with, but its what ive got. Cheers.
