Great looking truck. I just picked up a 05 SuperCab. I was happy to see an 05 with a leveling kit and tires the size you have. I have the 4.6 as opposed to the 5.4 so I am going with what is basically a 33/12.50/18. I am actually going with a 325/60/18. Should give it a good look.

Nice truck.

Rossi, your photography is top notch. Do you mind telling me what camera and programs you use for editing? I edit all my stuff in LightRoom 5 and its nice but there's a lot I feel like I want to do but either can't or don't know how in LR5. Killer truck, love the look. I was pulling for you in the Truck of the Year poll! Congrats.

First off, the truck is awesome! I've never been a fan of the blacked out rigs, but this one has changed my mind a little bit. I was wondering about the emblem removal to replace them with the '09+ emblems. I really like the look of those and thought I might try it on my truck. Any advice?

For painting the handles:
How long did you sand them?
Whats the purpose of the primer and the rustoleum at the same time?

Fantastic truck, very well done! Painting over plastidip I never thought of that, turned out great! Camera work is nice as well. The previous truck looked just as good! Very unique.

Thanks. I use a canon 60d with sigma 17-50 f2.8 lens. Lr5 is a basic program and I don't really like it that much. It's easier to use than PS for basic editing but anything more complex or editing with layers is much easier in PS.

Thanks! The emblems are a small mod that makes a big difference in the look of the truck. I used a heat gun and fishing lube to get the old ones off and then cleaned up the adhesive residue. I think when I put the front emblems on I had to break the pins off because they didn't line up. Before you remove the old ones I would take a piece of tape and put it above or below to mark a straight line to reference when putting the new emblems on

I didn't sand them that much. The stock handles are textured. I didn't sand them enough to make them smooth because it didn't bother me. I just roughed them up with some smooth grit paper then sprayed with primer and then grey paint. With a few coats of clear they feel smooth.

Thanks! I decided to try painting over it one day and I was surprised how well it works. I repainted the rear bumper before winter because I didn't like how I originally did the clear coat and the paint comes off fine. It doesn't peel off like the plastidip normally does but I was able to get it off with a power washer. It is very durable and I haven't had any chips or peeling with it since it was done.

Nice truck!

I was looking through the pictures and thought the background in many looked familiar. Then I saw your location and realized why. I worked in Ann Arbor for about 10 years and got off at Willis to get up to Avis Farms. And my wife worked in the corporate offices for Metalforming Technologies up to a couple years before they went belly up--I think their old Saline plant is the background for a couple of those.
