2004 Heritage Bulid
 

Hi, my name is Jordan. im a sophomore in highschool and bought the truck off my grandfather December 13, 2013. I get my license in February so I have time to work on it. I drove It with my mom from Ohio with no radio because I didn't think to check and see if the fuse was busted or not. I have a lot already done to it and will post gradually on this. Enjoy!

The First few things I did was, clean the snow off, cross over to 115,000 miles, clean the cupholder and put the spring back on, and mount the cb radio mic. I did give it a good bath and cleaned the desperately needed interior. my grandfather was busy moving so I let it being dirty slide:no:

Next I failed at putting offroad lights and failed and had to take them off because the grille didn't fit. (P.S. I DO NOT KNOW WHY MY PICTURES ARE BEING FLIPPED.)

I then trim restored the whole truck and bought a whole new grille from CertiFit parts for 56$ which I am happy with except the new holes form the push rivets are to big so I have to go buy new ones soon.

Forgot to mention I added a Pop n' Lock tailgate lock. the stud started turning with the but so im pissed but its still tight enough. Also the striker plate was to tall so had to take to school to get cut in the wood shop room. also I decided to fill up at half a tank always (I have a job so gas and insurance expenses are well enough) and my first tank had me excited. but sad considering the money tree is shrinking.

Have a plan for the truck. If you know what you want, the result will be awesome. If you don't have any sort of directions with your build, then you end up throwing wasted money at it and later on regret it. Saving is key. Don't settle for something because it's cheaper and you can afford it at that moment. Save for what you really want, and think of quality. If it seems like the price is too good to be true, it probably is.

Enough of my father lecturing. What direction do you want to take with this truck? Do you want an off-road warrior or a street queen or just an OEM quality solid truck? I know you're young so money is probably very limited but don't let that discourage you. I got my first truck when I was 17 and to this day that is the greatest vehicle I have ever had and wish that I still had it to this day. Try and hold onto it as long as possible. PS: $57 for 17 gallons is pretty nice. Cost me $85 for 19 gallons a couple of days ago. Enjoy it!

Not to break bad news but that's not an 04. It has to be 03 or earlier. Different body style came in 04. I'm sure someone else can back me up on this.

Providing it is a Heritage - then they went to 04 with that body.

I want it to be as nice as possible while keeping it tasteful. I want my grandfather to be proud of it. It's sadly a 2wd so no off roading, but I like peoples input on what I should do. Thanks!
