yeah it's not like the screws of today where I'm used to seeing the little bed occasionally, it looks off on the 6th gen. also the fact that half tons never came in crew back then and all HD trucks should have an 8' IMO. even if it was a 6.5' or 6.3/4" or whatever it would have been would make it look a lot better.

Alright I've got some ideas. I've been pricing everything out lately for the diesel swap, so far to get a parts truck 12V cummins in ok shape for te swap min I'll be spending is around 5-7k. Bright side I can get a 7.3 in good shape little more miles for about 4k I believe I'll be doing the body swap after all.

I can't see much of a problem with either option....both 7.3s and cummins I6s are great engines

I agree. I just don't know what I will have more fun with in, and enjoy driving more. I've been told the 12 valves are the worst to make into a daily because of drive ability. Everyone I've talked to that owns a 7.3 absolutely loves it. I've never driven either a 12 or 7.3. I have driven obviously my 24 valve, the 6.7 cummins. The 6.0 and honestly it's so hard really weigh everything. The 6.0 tranny shifts the best. But the 6.0 is also in the biggest vehicle (Excursion) The 6.7 is relatively new and still isn't what I would say amazing. (Ram 2500) And my 5.9 which does have a lot of power but is a little older. I do honestly wonder what the 7.3 is like also the 12 valve.

I'd try to find a chance to drive both, both will act a little bit different in a 6th gen than their ''own'' truck of course but you'll get the idea
