Next mod done! It's something small but I wanted a better place to have my handgun while driving. I hate having it IWB while wearing my seatbelt and in my previous cars, getting to the center console where I used to keep it was a lot easier.

Now with the center console being under the jump seat it makes it difficult to get to quickly so I figured out a way to mount a holster within reach and out of sight (and within the guidelines for "securely encased" as set forth in Florida Statute 790.25.)

As a precursor, THE FIREARM DOES NOT STAY IN THE VEHICLE LIKE THIS. It's either locked up underneath the seat or taken with me, the handgun is only in the holster while I'm in the vehicle.

I used a Fobus holster and cut off the mounting portion of it. I then used 3M velcro strips with some dabs of super glue to secure the velcro. I can remove the holster if I want but it's also pretty damn secure when drawing the weapon.

Well, doesn't seem to be a whole lot of interest, but figure I'll keep updating since I've got some big stuff planned in the next couple months.

Just got myself some FX4/HD taillights and will eventually pick up the matching headlights too.

Good looking truck. Might be time to add some tint to those windows!

Nice truck! I agree definitely tint the windows. What shocks are you going to go with in place of the 5100's?

Not sure as of yet. Going to go with one of the big three coilovers up front (King, Fox, or Icon) and most likely a matching pair of shocks in the rear.

I contemplated a lift, but after figuring out my new 17" wheels won't work with any of the steering knuckles, I scratched that idea.

Then I've got some other ideas for the remainder of the suspension. Possibly some Camburg UCA's and mayber some Deaver or National leafs out back with a set of air bags to help support the rear when I've got heavy stuff in the bed.

Tint is up next! Have to drive to Texas for work over the next two weeks, but that'll be the first thing that gets done once I get back.

I'm always interested in seeing what my fellow STX owners are doing with their trucks.

The rancho lifs will work with 17" wheels. Lots of people have done it!

Good looking truck.
