Well actually yes. If you keep up with general maintenance(which it sounds like you plan to)the truck should last a long time. Also your question is very vague, anything specific you want to know?

I have a 2010 fx4 screw the only issue I have had is traction control kicking on around curves once I leveled it and put 35s on it. There was TSB on it and the dealer reprogramed the abs. I got ripped off but that's another story lol.

okay guys thanks for the feed back - yes i hope to keep it in good repair and maintenance. I have been told to check the front end out. I have heard that its okay to go with synthetics for fluid except the auto tranny. Does that sound correct?

I was thinking of putting 1 or 2 inch leveling kit on the front when i get down the road further and want to have done a alignment - has anyone done that and if so how did it affect mileage on highway?

But to the crux of the question. it seems all vehicles have little or big - watch out fors, weather its a tranny or a wheel bearing. Is there such a thing on my new stead? thanks James

This is my 2010 screw with a 2 inch level with 20inch wheels and 35 inch mud hogs. I get around 13 on highway 12.5 back and forth to work (17 miles). With 100% gas non ethanol I get around 14 but around here its too pricey to justify.

What gears are you running and how bad was the loss in power?

thank you ThomasM
Your truck looks great. I think i will run stock for a few months before the leveling kit. I want to see how the mods affect it as I go. I know/believe that all vehicles these days seem very affected by the air resistance/ground affects.. It seems anyway. My truck has the 5.4 with 3.55 gears - i hope I get a couple better on the highway for now..hope :-)

If I where you, I'd start with an oil change because most the time they will have some cheap filter and cheap oil in it. Next start with changing all the fluids like you had stated its always good to change all of them with over a 100k. The fluids in it might look ok or smell ok but there not made to last a lifetime. After that I would start with changing plugs, might not need them but ford recommends changing them after 100k. Then if your truck has it change tranny filter, fuel filter. All these I feel is a good start to having some good maintence on a vehicle. With your truck I haven't heard of many problems but don't know the 09s and up to well. There's a lot of guys on here with some great knowledge that can probably answer that question though.
