Drained coolant, refilled with clean water, ran it with the engine running, drained. Repeated that step with the exception of adding the motorcraft coolant flush and reving the engine every so often. Drained while engine running with a hose constantly filling the coolant resi until the fluid coming out of the petcock was clear. Then installed a thicker radiator, hoses, thermostat, thermostat housing outlet, and installed E fans. Not done yet, but it's drivable and works much better than before!

and not having a fan on the pulley adds 10-20hp easy lol. did i apologize for helping you spend money?

You know that I did it purely for cooling capacity in the extreme heat. Haha It needs more hp though, a 5.4 swap would be nice, but I hear those 3v engines have more timing component issues. I think you did, I still have to cut a hole in the skid plate, I'll probably do that this weekend.

Ignition signal wire ran and the core support cover clearanced for the new components.
