Making my truck My own
I start with MY FIRST NEW TRUCK EVER! I want to give a shout out to the sales guy Cody at Fred Grande Ford in Richmond, MI. Cody was a no bull****, Great to work with guy and I cant say enough good things about him! ( I spoke with 5 other dealers in my area) I have had several used F-150's in the past however I just recently was able to buy a 2018 F-150 driven by the 2.7 twin turbo in the great looking Lightning Blue exterior, Sport black interior, and FX4 package. I was able to use A plan and current rebates to get my truck at an affordable rate. I am very proud of my truck and I want to share the excitement with my fellow F-150 enthuses!
We start with the blank canvas.
The Window sticker.
At the dealership.
Now I have to make it look like my own with a few outside modifications. I started with a little wash and wax using Tecwax 2.0. Then inside some 303 interior protectant to keep things clean. Then paint and some stickers, removed the front lower air fin that always drags on the curbs, and the chrome muffler tip. My Bakflip fit from my 2014 so that's awesome(I did need a new front weather seal as the old one did not want to come off the other truck, Amazon is your friend here)!!
2014 F-150 Cover fit without any Modification.
Flat black vinyl from Amazon.
VHT caliper Paint Gloss Black
VHT high heat Paint in Semi gloss
Removed just the TIP
Best looking one in the bunch!
I intend to do some performance mods later but that's after I get some miles on it. To Be Continued....
Tell me what you guys think and show me what you guy do to make your trucks your own!
