I've had some issues with them not getting back to me but never shipping issues like this. They ordered me the wrong part and when trying to track Josh down he was nowhere to be found. Finally Domenic got things straight after call and call and call. Took me two months to get the correct part and credit card straight.

That said, Josh was very good until that point. I've gone back to dealing with Tousley Ford as their pricing is the same and a higher level of customer support. I think some of us had isolated instances, but customer service is lacking with Tasca for me and some others.

I understand the frustration of the OP. You find a product you're looking for, a price is stated, you pay that, and then the business comes back and asks for more money. I had one business do that to me a year ago (asking for an additional like $50). I couldn't believe it. I buy lots of stuff online and that has never happened to me before. Now their site had nothing about possible shipping charges being changed, and Tasca does. But still. You decide to buy a particular product based on a sale price. You shouldn't go changing that after the fact. Either change the online buying process to reflect actual shipping prices (for instance you can weigh the mat prior and post the shipping cost on that product listing cause obviously the weight won't change) or make it so you can only purchase heavyweight items over the phone so that you can get the real price (the product listing would still be on the website, just have a statement "to place an order for this item call ..." on the page)

Plus an extra $25 is a huge jump up when the original price given is about $100 for product + shipping. If someone tried to raise a price on me by 25% after I completed a transaction, I'd be a little unhappy also. I was actually thinking about getting the bed mat for my truck someday. I'm glad I now know how much it really would cost

Well I just ordered an emblem for my grill and paid the minimum $10 shipping....I know I could do it for half that price but, I saved a good deal on the emblem over the dealer cost and no tax...I got a good deal...it all works out in the end...Tks Josh

$10 is not enough to ship a 35 lb. bedmat from Rhode Island to Florida.

We asked for the additional $$ to cover the actual cost of shipping..

I do not see how we have "business ethics issues" because we asked a customer to pay the actual freight to ship a heavy part to him...

thanks,
Joshua

Thanks techrep!

Did you include your VIN # with your order through the site so we can confirm that the emblems are the correct ones for your truck? I wanna make sure you get the correct ones...

thanks,
Joshua

i ordered my 09 emblems through tasca and i couldn't be happier. there prices are extremely fair. the shipping is fair compared to other dealer parts sites i have browsed. i admit i ordered the wrong tail gate emblem but that was my fault as i wanted the new emblems. im working with josh right now to get the correct one and willing to pay again because they offer great and prompt service. im gonna be order the 09-11 tow mirrors and im gonna be getting through tasca again. im willing to pay a lower price and wait a little longer to get them. just my.02

flamehead.

Before you even hear the facts, please read our shipping policy.

Estimated Shipping: Shipping charges are estimated at 9% of the total order amount. The minimum shipping expense will be $10.00. Certain outlying zipcodes are subject to an additional $2.00 shipping charge. However, the freight amount will be the actual freight charged by the carrier. UPS, Fed-Ex or USPS. In such cases that freight exceeds 15%, you will be notified for prior approval before shipping. If you are ordering a large item (such as bumpers, hoods, grille etc..) or a heavy item (such as brake rotors, sway bars, truck mirrors etc..) please call for a shipping quote. For small items that are expensive (sensors or modules) the computer will calculate the freight higher than the actual freight costs (on average a 1 pound package will cost anywhere from $9.00 - $13.00 to ship depending on where you live and the amount of insurance that needs to be put on the item) please call, email or use our Online Chat if you would like an accurate freight quote.

Customer ordered a bedmat which cost $91.07 and weighs 35 lbs. and our shopping cart which gives an estimate on shipping quoted $10 which is way to low.

You were sent this e-mail.

This is Ben from the Tasca sales office in regards to your order. Our Octane site under quoted your shipping cost.
You were charged $10.00, however due to the bulk of your item shipping is going to be $35.00.
If you wish to approve the additional charges please reply to this email and we'll ship your order immediately.

Thank You,
Ben

This is not acceptable....We have a agreed to contracted price.
Your website stated a price, I based my decision on that price and chose not to buy
another liner because of it. I lost that other opportunity.

Any other store, by law, honors their advertised and contracted prices.
I ordered this last Friday night and have been waiting a while.
now I will have to wait even longer due to this dispute.
Please honor your shipping price.

Thanks,
John

I'm sorry John but we only charge 10% over our cost which is not a very large profit margin and we are very fair with our pricing.

thank you,
Joshua
Hey Fella's (Tasca)....If your so high and mighty and customer service oriented, how come when you e-mail someone indicating that a mistake has been made by you, why not try to meet them at least half way. I would have been more than happy to do that. Trust me...$25 is not worth any more of my time dealing with you clowns. A little customer service goes a long way. Take it or leave it pisses me off.
