Regarding everyone who noticed what time I was online, I was only on my mobile phone not checking the forums themselves, just trying to make a purchase. First off, I would like to state I have had many wonderful transactions and could go through many members I have sold items to and purchased as well. I have 100% feedback on Ebay with no issues, and no negative feedbacks since I became a member almost a decade ago.

Anyways, to the issue at stake. I sold him a set of power fold tow mirrors that I bought with the intentions of using on an expedition, as the guy I purchased them from said that it would work and be an easy change. I have multiple photos that I sent him before shipping the mirrors(20+), all of them showing no damage at all. Once he received the mirrors he said that one of the corners had an issue with it and that it was beginning to crack, but other than that the mirrors looked great(picture attached).

All of a sudden a ton of problems show up in them, none of which the guy I bought them from noticed or I noticed. I was beginning to become a bit skeptical but still wanted to work out a deal with him. I said that I would be willing to pay up a bit of cash and split the difference between the cost of what I sold them to him for, and the cost of a new set. He said that it would be about $1,400 for a new set. I contact Josh at Tasca and all of a sudden we are up over $1700 then shipping to Canada on top? That isn't what we agreed to! In the end I refunded him his $950 and decided to cut my losses. I sold him a great item that he said were in good condition as well, and now I am the bad guy?

Anyways, I am glad to see that everyone here loves to reach the verdict of guilty before hearing both sides. I guess that is what happens when we get too many badasses on one internet site. I attempted to delete my account as I see no point in having it if every time I try and sell something or comment on an article I am going to get falsely accused. Unfortunately, there is no way to delete your account so I am stuck here after being slandered. If anyone has more questions I am ready to answer them.
So you guys have pics of before shipping and after shipping, why not go after the shipper?

Awesome story Matt, you've found me out. I bought mirrors from you, made up a story about them being damaged, and then actually damaged them....you know so it feels legit. I did this so that it could cost me an extra $116.00 in shipping to your original seller...and I ACTUALLY shipped them!! Mwahahaha!

I hate it when a plan gets foiled.

Since we're posting screenshots:

Losses?

Thanks for being a sport.

The post office didn't want to do anything about it really. I made a few calls but and searched online and I don't think they ever actually pay out insurance.

All these up close photos were taken as the mirrors had some overspray plastidip from the guy I bought them from and took care of it as best I could, and wanted to show him some after photos to make sure they met his approval. I spent close to two hours and examined them very close and saw nothing wrong with them, as you can't find anything else wrong with them in the up close photos. Yet I still was a nice guy and willing to refund his money.

I know for a fact if you ship something insured they will cover it if proven damaged in transit. That's all I have to say on this matter.

Hope y'all get it figured out.
