He replied and he seems to be somewhat upset with my post. He said he didn't package the headlight. He also said the headlight was not damaged.

I will apologize to him and everyone here if my post was not actuate as long as there is some sort of satisfaction offered.

I included a picture of the crack.

Well I have to ask if he didnt package it, who did?... Second where did he get the picture he sent you if he didnt open it? Third, and most of all he needs to refund the money and take back the "MINT" condition light. If my truck came with a headlight like that you can dam well bet the dealers going to fix it for free...

I don't know the answer to your questions and I'm really not interested in know all of the details about what happen and when and by whom. That should be something he might want to address.

dykzeulb seems to be a straight up guy that was concerned that I may have made premature un-warranted claims. I have no motive for doing that. The fact still remains that I got the headlight with damage. Anyone in that position would be a bit upset if someone else made claims that were not true to the best of his knowledge.

I apologize if I over reacted as far as he is concerned and to everyone else. I don't know him and he does know me. We both came to a resolve about the matter and that's the end of that.

The seller should have filed a claim with whomever did the packaging and shipping. He should have refunded the buyer as well. I packaged then shipped a set of headlights to a buyer through this forum. The buyer upon receiving the lights, discovered damage. I immediately refunded the seller through Pay Pal. The buyer provided me with pictures of the damaged headlight that I took to UPS and used to file a claim with their shipping, as the seller also said the box was damaged. I received my money back from UPS: both the shipping costs and the price I was selling the headlights for. This happened to me twice with UPS, and both times I've refunded the seller immediately and filed a claim (and received) my money from the shipper.

Bottom line: the buyer deserves his money back from the seller, and the seller can file a claim with the shipper if they were responsible for the damages due to packaging/shipping. May be too late now to file a claim with the shipper though.
