Default Body Lift Gap

  • So I've been looking at the space between the body and frame of truck after doing body lift! I didn't want to buy the gap filler from PA! This is what I used! Yard edgeing and a tire tube!
  • The white powder inside tube wipes off with WD-40 and rag!
  • The curve of the tire tube follows the curve of the wheel well! Drill holes one at a time then insert plastic tab thing! Makeing sure not to hit anything behind the wheel well!
  • Before
  • After
  • The back just cut to length! I used self taping screws to install! Used spade bits to drill holes for gas tank hoses! Before
  • After
  • Hope this will help someone!

i like the idea of the tube, but it would look a lot cleaner if it was stretched tighter. the yard edging looks good.

I too never minded the added gap in the front after my PA body lift, but gosh damn that rear one is hideous... Looks like i'll be stoppin off at Lowe's on the way home now.

Damn! I wish I would have thought of yard edging! I tried using wintergaurd(sealant roll to prevent leaking roofs) and failed... Great idea I'm going to fleet farm tomorrow!

Looks good. I will probably decide to do the same if I go with a body lift.

so on the wheel wells where you used the tire tube, you just hooked it to the inner fender on the top and the to the frame at the bottom?

The inside of the tube is facing out so it follows the curve of the wheel well, Start in center working to sides, Let tube just hang down and trim after done, On mine it just covers the shock tower. No I did not attach it to the frame, its just hanging there.
