Default How to Paint your Side Markers

Today I did a quick 20 minute mod. Decided to black out the orange side markers. Picked up Krylon Fusion Flat Black at local Ace Hardware. Claimed no sanding necessary with this spray paint. Was very pleased with the product.

By the way, Side markers easily pop up by prying with a flat head screwdriver. They have small tabs on each side.

Here are before and after pics.

Looks good. I'm thinking about smoking mine out with the body color of the truck and putting some LED's behind it.

I took off reflector, but how do u take off actually reflector from white piece?? And can i take apart mirrors so i can re wire some leds? All i seen from puddle lamp area were green and black wires. Im wantin to install puddles and leds in reflector, will they all turn on when i use my blinker if i tap into those wires?

Am I correct in assuming that this an opaque paint that completely removes the light/reflecting properties of the side marker? This is just "getting rid of the orange"?

Does anyone know what these are called so I could order a pair and paint those in case I didn't like how they turned out?

Looks good. Much less obnoxious! Nice match on the finish too.
