Hey guys, i just started in on this project myself on my 03 F-150 and thought I'd share some pics of the headlight switch disassembled and the led that you need to replace, to get the assembly apart carefully remove the **** by turning it on and pulling the switch out as your turning foglights on and then gentle pry the **** off after you've done that you can gentle remove the face by prying the two halves apart, once you've done that you now have access to the boards inside, the last picture shows the tabs you must release in order to get the first board out to give you access to the board that has the 3mm led on it, once you've released those two tabs you can from the rear gentle push the board out through the front and then if you have a desoldering iron you can remove the 3mm led. http://www.google.com/products/catal...d=0CCkQ8wIwAA#

If you check out superbrightleds and v-leds web sites, most of the popular ones are out of stock - although they do have different "styles" from the earlier posts. After all new suspension work done on my '98, it's time to tackle this upgrade (OK, a blown bulb warrants cluster work, and why go stock?). Has anyone recently completed this upgrade, with the "new" part numbers, and are the results any better? Seems like unreadable needles are the main problem, whereas older posts had hot and cold spots, due to the patterns of the older LEDs. Most are now SMD technology, but offer only 30 degree patterns.

Any ideas?
