I'm not sure about your search for an elaborate switch but all of that can be solved by using a relay and wiring it through the truck light switch. I'll see if I can't come up with a diagram.

ignore the "aux connector in headlight bucket" part. I forget I did this for a motorcycle. The scematic is still the same but the headlight bucket would be something like your + and - wire in your running lights. On both of my trucks I have Aux lights and I pull the + and - from one of the parking/running lights to I can turn on the aux lights with just the parking lights and they'll still work with low or high beams but will turn off when the stock switch is turned off.

Its even easier than that. You can wire them to the low beam side of the headlight power in. Use a relay and the fogs will come on with the low beams and shut off with the high beams like factory.

That what my diagram allows. Plus, I was having issues blowing the dash fuse when I was pulling power from the running light verses the battery. However, i am running 2 100w off-road lights

I absolutely hate bumping old threads but seeing as this seems to be the only HowTo thread related to the 97/03 models I'm just curious as to how the switch is supposed to come apart on 00 HD model trucks. My switch box isn't the same as the one in the link above..anybody got another link or can point me in the right direction? I'd love to have this mod done.

Edit -- After doing a little digging and taking the steps that Cowboy cadillac used (only I didn't break the face off, I removed the glue like substance between the little posts that the face had that mounted it to the box and popped the face off. Is what I need to do merely notch down the cone on the back of the face so that the switch can be pulled out like it would with the lowbeams? If so that should be simple..but are the wires the same? Brown to white/black?

Second edit -- LOL, figured it out. Way to go me.

RIP little thread.
