I have a 2017 F150 XLT that came used with a Leer cap. I thought the 3rd brake light was not working. But when I checked it was! So many other wires had been hacked off that I didn't believe it. So after reading some other threads on this forum for 2014 and earlier I wanted to post how they wired it so others didn't need to stress like I did. Third Brake Light wiring. Under driver's side panel just above trunk release. Its the purple wire with a white tracer.
