How to get your cup holder out if the return spring is broke

The cup holder spring on my 2003 F-150 Supercrew fell off 4-years ago, finally decided to fix it today so the darn cup holder would go in & out like it was supposed to without having to bring a coat hanger with me.
I was afraid to just pry/yank the cup holder out, so I initially removed the vent panel trim which wasn't required. I know I'm not the only mentally challenged shade tree type on here so, pictures are worth a thousand words.
Unfortunately some of the pictures that were posted years ago are no longer available on the site, so I included those for those folk's that are reluctant to tackle this easy project.
Hope this benefits someone

To add to his pictures - you can actually reach your fingers up to the two retaining hooks from underneath and pull them down to release. No tools required. They'll catch again on the edge of the dash face so you have to release them twice.
And if you move a bit of grease from the rails to the center toggle bumps the operation will be smoother.
