Must not have used the kit correctly as the joint didn't come out. I ended up using an angle grinder to cut it out which worked just fine and the cup ends almost fell out into the center of the joint. I did soak the cups with Kroil overnight first and highly recommend that or other penetrating oil to make the removal easier.

Installing the new one today and if it goes well, which it should, I'm going to see if I can get the correct thickness clips at the parts store and do the other one without buying another kit. That cutter for the stakes, though, works just like it should. I think you could just use a Dremel and patience to grind the stakes off.

Got the rear pinion seal just fine but the kit didn't work for me. The cups didn't fit even with grease in the holes and I ended up jamming the U Joint in the hole so I'd have to cut it out again. $80 for a lesson learned I guess.

Went online to CCI Driveline and bought a new driveshaft with greaseable Dana U Joints for $350 shipped. Much less hassle but I don't mind fooling around.

2 U Joint kits would have been roughly 1/2 of the new driveshaft with the U Joints installed and new yoke. Unless your into messing with the truck then this is a much better and faster option.
