took me 3 days in the afternoons while dealing with the heat/mosquitos/rain.

*notes*
1. you do not have to remove the differential
2. you will need a friend to help get the spiders back in
3. my cost for this was $105 to get this done after I returned the extra
fluid and my "tool".
4. soak the clutches overnight in friction modifier
5. c-clip pin bolt torque is 20ft/lb
6. use new clutches/block plates from whatever kit you buy

I know Im probably not covering everything so ask questions

just fyi, its been almost a year now and 30k miles (I know, been doing a bunch of driving the past year) and havent had an issue since the repair.

For some reason I cannot seam to get the spider gears to go back in properly, I have "the tool" in there spreading them as far as possible but still not having any luck.

you need to absolutely bottom it out. You also need at least 8' on your breaker bar to get enough torque to move those gears back in place. I would also recheck both of your clutch packs and make sure you dont have anything extra in there and make sure none of the old shims were still inside the carrier.

when I say it is REALLY tight, it is REALLY tight.

I was able to get it in the next day on my own attempt. Made sure "The Tool" was in there and opened all the way up. Truck was in neutral, i had a 3 foot bar in the driver side wedging that assembly from rotating. While on the passenger side with a 3 foot bar, I was able to slowly walk them in. Took some patience and a roll of masking tape to hold the gears in as I did not have the third hand...

gotcha, yeah having another set of hands made it a lot easier for me. out of curiosity just how much extra thread were you able to go on the tool on the successful attempt vs the unsuccessful ones? mine was considerable lol

glad it worked out! hows it sound in turns now?

I wasn't able to get any extra thread in, the difference was using the long bar to spin the axle and walk it in. Truck is amazing now, much better

Hello i have a 2013 F150 4x4 with 5.0 engine having a small water leak at the rear of engine can't see or tell where it's coming from any help will be appreciated
