I changed the plugs and wires and then the stalling while coming to a stop started to happen. Hopefully this fixes the problem.
Might need to clean the MAF and the Throttle body....

What kind of mileage are you averaging now?

I also had a little "shudder" at idle. Just tried the "relearn" process, and it worked! Thanks a bunch...

Great thread! My truck was running like crap after I changed the battery and alternator, it was stalling out, the idle was bad and it would quit running or damn near quit every time I was decelerating for 2 weeks. I immediately jumped online and read that the problem could be traced to any one of the 700 sensors on my truck, a ground, a fuel filter or the fuel pump could be going bad. I'm not mechanically inclined so I was on the verge of a mental breakdown looking at the cost of possibly trouble shooting and replacing all of these damn sensors UNTIL I came across this thread. Yesterday I followed the instructions posted and my truck not only runs fine now but possibly better than before the battery and alternator change....Thanks a ton!

I also have the same problem as KWilson changed the battery, alternator and a sensor... Still the truck iddles low and stalls when i press the breaks, i have to put it in neutral and restart it!!! So tired if this problem! I will try the relearn process since its the first time i changed the battery ... Hope it works... Going crazy here!!!

The instructions say to put it in park a few times. What if I have a manual trans? What is the equivelant for park - nuetral?
