I did this over the weekend and it all went great WITH the exeption of the silicon not curing. For whatever reason the new 100% black GE II silicon is still tacky after 24 hours. I talked to another guy and he said I need to provide high humidity to let them cure correctly.

Im going to be pissed if I have to clean them up and put new stuff on

Well sure as hell I had to take it apart and redo it. Needless to say getting all the oily silicon was near impossible. I spend about 3 hours trying to clean them up.

So I thought I had it corrected and the new silicon looks to have sealed up.

That is until tonight when I noticed they were all fogged up when I got home.

That was the last straw and I ended up buying a set off ebay. I plan to fix them when I get time and resell them since they look really good. Im just pissed that the first silicon wrecked a otherwise easy install

I have a black truck and I want to paint the lights black. Where should I get the black paint from? Is it hard to glue the lights back together, and where should I get the glue to put them back together?
All help is welcome.
Thanks

Black Headlights

I just finished painting my headlights and I have to say it was not easy. It took me about 4 hours to complete the whole thing. It was a lot harder than it looked. It took me the majority of the time to separate the two lights. Once I had them separated it was easy. Anyway I painted them black and it turned out great. I will post some pics later.
