Will they build it? (Y-pipe with high-flow cats for 5.0)
So, I"m just sitting here wondering if any exhaust companies will be building a higher flowing aftermarket Y-pipe with High Flow cats that would bolt right to the existing headers and end where the factory exhaust bolts up. If they did it this way it would be universal with basically every cat back exhaust out there.
Do you think it would produce notable performance gains over existing?
I'm sure most of you are thinking "Just buy aftermarket headers with replacement cats," but I don't want to get into that difficult of a project.
I would think a replacment Y pipe with factory located connections would be just as easy to install as a cat-back exhaust.
Anybody else feel me, or I'm I alone on this one?

Just found the Fastlane one, but I believe it's only for the ecoboost. Too bad, that's exactly what I was looking for (I've got the 5.0 though).

I think most of the exhaust parts on the new engines are interchangable, you may run into an issue with the mounting flange on the turbos but if so you could weld the flanges from the stock system on it.
