It has about 60 more HP than my '98 5.9L Ram. That's a 360 ci V8. This V6 ROCKS compared to any late 90's early 2000's V8's.

If I could have bought a 3.7 in a 4wd supercrew, I would have. I really like the idea of a small six that can perform.

Once I decide to get the big cab, I had to give up on the 3.7. The consolation prize was an Egoboost.

Actually the 5.3 is no match at all. My 3.7 reg cab went 14.8s with only a 5star tune. Even beat a 2v stang and 6.0 SS silverado. Go to YouTube and3.7 f150 vs SS silverado. My username is mattalverson04.

What do you think ill run with my set up I have ordered or how much overall hp will my 3.7 have? Magnaflow true duel performance exhaust (installed), Roush CAI (in mail), 73mm throttle body (in mail) and I have 3.73 gears. Sorry for all the questions, im just REALLY excited!

Check the chart, the 3.7 easily beats the 5.3. Silly government motors.
What really kills the GM's is the throttle delay / torque management. Total garbage!

My 1 ton van is the most useless POS with regards to powertrain, fit/finish; you name it, it sucks at it!

Damn You 3.7L!!!!! I am so tired of hearinnnggggg.....?????

Wait a minute?!?!? Ford makes a 3.7L? And I thought I was tired of not seeing my engine on the 2011+ section. Good on ya for making a thread. Somebody start a "Tired of the 5.0" thread. It will cut out half the crap everybody else doesn't want to read about. Almost like having an engine section that is really hard to find anything on.

I love my 3.7! The power is really surprising. Pulls hard in any gear and has more than enough passing power on the freeway. Even if I'm crusing at 75 mph and I want to pass it will pull effortlessly. The mpg is awesome. I have a supercab 4x4 3.73 and with my 1 hour commute each way, I get around 1000 kms to a tank and that's being heavy footed. I could easily get 1200.

I thought the engine sounded great stock, I just added a roush intake and the sound is amazing. It's the reason why I'm so heavy footed now. Added noticable torque gains. I'll take a sound clip one of these days.
