Well until someone or some company comes out with some real performance parts other than just custom tunes/intakes/exhausts; everybodys numbers are gonna be relatively close I think Livernois will be the first one to get there for sure though, seeing how they've already ripped apart an Eco and peeked around
^^^ this.......... Full Race and Ford have partnered to build an Eco F150 for SEMA......... I have high expectations.
Agree! Hell......... i might even be happy with larger wheels in the stock turbos......... something that would support 250 whp each so maybe 500 whp total....... that'd be fun.

It is much easier (relatively) to upgrade turbos than do internal/heads/ect. As long as you can map a viable fuel program to keep things safe and don't overdo cylinder pressures (based on the hard parts you have)...plenty of HP/Torque. I think for most stock is more than enuff...for the other 20% a tune is plenty...then there are the 1% that want to go all out...they are fun to watch AND I used to be one of them
The stock EB is great...just needs to be smoother in the powder delivery...so a good tranny tune with some extra HP/Torque to boot is perfect for me.

Member egbertnr just put down over 370 whp so he might be the highest at this point....well... at least the highest who has posted anyway.

This is a bit of a follow-up to the 'ecoboost and upgrades' thread, but I was reading the new issue of European Car magazine, and they had a product highlight for the new Borg Warner S400SX3 turbo, designed for 400-900 hp applications. For $1449.99. Ideally, that would mean a decent turbo upgrade kit should be doable for $5,000 or so. Maybe a bit more. There was also an S4 with a 2.8 L twin running 600 hp. I'd like to think that American engineers can do the same. (Taunt!)
Does anyone have a link to, or a source for technical information on this engine. I have found very little out there, which I find quite surprising.

Rider, companies like Precision Turbo have been making bolt-in stock-housing turbo upgrades for the turbo Buicks for years. I think the price is closer to $1k for these units. The truck, of course, has two of them and they are ball-bearing units with integral BPV's but smaller. I think if this upgrade is $5k they won't sell very many.
And I believe the official record is 371.72 rwhp and 458.82 ft-lb, using an SCT 93 tune and CAI, though the CAI only added .8 hp.

Thanks Mike. I was thinking in the $5k range because I'm used to seeing VW/Audi complete kits selling for 3-4k, and they sell a lot at that price. With two it would be more, of course.
Thanks for the info.
