That is very true, even after getting the dealership to adjust for the larger tires my truck always seemed to be at too low of an rpm in town. I began running in tow/haul just to make it more desirable to drive. That was when I really decided to tune it, haven't looked back and everything runs like the tires should be that size.

You might also be feeling the "torque management" programming. I have the same sensation on mine.

They are not. They are a bit larger and heavier. I understand the effect on gearing. I had trail grapplers (295 70 18's) on my last F150 with the 5.0. The shifting and such feels fine. I'm talking about how the engine builds power. In any gear. It just doesn't feel strong at any one point. It's not a turd, just seems really like the factory tune is neutered. Lots of lag. And it was the same with stock tires. The torque management keeps it from spinning from a stop. When the boost comes up, it goes fine. It just feels "lazy" vs pedal input.
I appreciate the comments.

Have you done a kam reset lately. The truck may be adapting learning. Mine will do that driving like a granny all week then it gets all mad when i want to play on the weekend.

This! Get a quality tune and it will change the truck. Not all tunes are equal....

Had those and they were the worst ones I had. Marginally better than stock. I would not steer anyone there. But if you are happy with them then good for you Canuck.

Check all your charge pipes for boost leaks. I found 2 of the hose clamps very loose and the rest weren't much tighter. Evened out my acceleration issues. Some are not the easiest to get at but something to check.

I'll check them out. And tuning is on the table. Doing research now. A good friend who builds racing engines has a 2013 EB and is trying a few tunes on his truck. He liked the Diablo intune and already tried 1 custom tune he had problems with. He is looking into MPT and 5Star now.
