My truck is stock with the CAC update/worse tune TSB.

Also I was thinking about using NGKs of some kind.
The .030" gap is basically the 2013+ spec from ford. The smaller gaps listed are a result of reading stuff on the web (from folks I feel they know what they are talking about/actually using that set-up), and from personal experience from past boosted motors. On my truck, I went with a tight .030" gap using NGK LTR61X-11. They have been in for about 15k miles with no issues. Before that I was using NGK LTR71X-11 (1 step colder) and the truck ran great with those as well. I only ran the 71s for about 5k though.

On another note, I also have the updated CAC and tune from ford. My truck actually feels better with the update from ford vs. the factory tune/CAC. The only thing that seemed to change is now my truck hates custom tunes. Not sure if the SCT isn't reading strategy right or it's on the tuner end. The canned SCT tunes run great though.

What are the exact plugs Ford is using on the 2013+ trucks now with the 0.030" gap?

Think there is any chance the dealership puts them in if you have Fords Maintenance Plan?

Ford is using Iridium in the 2013.

I've been at .028 gap on plugs for months. Tunes from 16 psi to 22 and octanes from 93 to 116. No problems.

That's what I went with.

Motorcraft SP-534 and tell them to gap at .030 because they aren't always that way out of the box.

Motorcraft SP-534's gapped at .025, just because it seems to run better at that gap.

I usually always run a 91 octane T4 performance tune. No problems.

Not a loss of power, but a delay in spooling the turbos and horrible throttle response, all things that stink in their own, special way.

Guys,

Thanks. I ordered 6 NGK 6509 through Amazon (after a local quest failed and I somehow wound up getting a hair-cut at 6:00 PM on New Year's Eve).

I don't think the SP-528 plugs are even available anymore. I ordered 6 for $4.89 a piece the other day. The order came today and they ended up sending me 8 SP-534 plugs. Not bad for under 30 bucks shipped!
