Default What exhaust setup should I build? (poll)

I am bored now with this stock exhaust on my Ecoboost and I cannot decide what exhaust setup to build.

Should I build a true dual setup with X-pipe and Borla or Bassani mufflers, or a 4" single?

Either setup will be catless. With the hubbub about the hesitation issue and warranties cats I don't trust the factory catalysts to hold up under my usage.

Both would be built with actual resonators tuned to the truck to eliminate any type of drone and I will document the fabrication for you guys complete with sound clips revving and driving.

I should add that this will likely be a quiet-ish setup either way and I am extremely proficient in exhaust fabrication.

It will be easy I think to create a dual setup that is quieter and mellower than a single 4". I would say there's no advantage on the ecoboost for the dual exhaust other than sound.

Purely for sound and because someone has not done it and documented it for the masses yet. I can't stand the flat sound the single exhaust has and I pine for the sound of this engine on AWD platform (SHO, Flex, Explorer)...

Alittle of topic Fordracing is now offering performance catbacks for all trucks. Pricey, cant wait to hear it, if someone actually wants to spends that much on an exhaust system

Someone fabbed a dual setup with two resonators and two mufflers. It was quiet. Sounded nice though. It's not going to be an equal length setup so sound will not be like a SHO or TT grand national. If you're doing it just to say you've done it then go for it. If you're going catless and duals then dual 16" resonators and dual straight through mufflers should be pretty tame. I am one of a handful with catless downpipes and a resonated 4" system. Be prepared for some rasp above 4k rpm if you do 4" catless.

I'm searching hard for a 3" muffler for mine. The rasp at WOT is embarrassing without cats. So much so that I don't like going full throttle.
