Inebriated 4 ur safety
The 5.0L in the Mustang does not have all the same internals as the truck version. Just as the 3.5L Ecoboost in the Ford Flex, Ford Taurus, Lincoln MKS, and Lincoln MKT is not exactly the same as the F-150 version. There is not another vehicle that will share the truck version of the 5.0L from what I have read. The only other Ford vehicle to share the same 3.5L Ecoboost found in the F-150 will be the new 2014 Ford Transit or T-Series vans. They will also have the 3.7L V6 found in the F-150 as their base engine for US versions along with a 3.2L I5 diesel(200hp & 350lb-ft) as another engine option.

5.0.
I can't believe anyone would get any other engine then the 5.0. Everything else is crap - CRAP I TELL YOU!
Just kidding... seriously.
I'm old school, I wanted the V8 for aftermarket mods and the sound - oh baby... that sound.
The Eco is an awesome engine - not for me though. I personally wasn't comfortable with the new technology (new to me) because... like I said, I'm old school.
The 6.2 was what I really wanted but the availability at the time, premium price and MPGs pointed me elsewhere.
The 3.7 is a fantastic engine - just needed to tow more then it could offer.
In any case, I think the weakest link in all these trucks is the transmission. There are more issues consistently with these then any engine.
Ford needs to work on that.
